Honey Butter Naan
Soft, fluffy homemade naan brushed with melted butter and finished with the rich sweetness of Biju Thadathil Farm Kashmir Multiflora Honey. This delicious fusion bread pairs beautifully with curries, grilled dishes, or can be enjoyed on its own.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Maida (All-purpose flour)
- ½ cup Curd
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2½ tbsp Wild Forest Honey (for the dough)
- Kashmir Multiflora Honey (for brushing)
Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the maida, curd, baking powder, sugar, salt, butter, and Wild Forest Honey. Add a little water if required and knead into a soft, smooth dough.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and allow it to rest for about 2 hours until it becomes soft and pliable.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll each one into a traditional oval-shaped naan.
- Heat a tawa or flat pan over medium-high heat. Cook each naan until bubbles appear, then flip and cook the other side until lightly browned and fully cooked.
- While the naan is still hot, generously brush it with melted butter, followed by a light drizzle of Biju Thadathil Farm Kashmir Multiflora Honey.
- Serve immediately while warm for the perfect combination of soft texture, buttery richness, and natural honey sweetness.
💡 Chef's Tip
For the best flavour, drizzle the Kashmir Multiflora Honey over the naan just before serving. This preserves its delicate floral aroma and creates a delicious sweet-butter glaze that pairs perfectly with spicy curries and grilled dishes.
